AMBOS Stockfeeds opened its new plant at Cootamundra.

Ambos Stockfeeds has just opened its much anticipated fibre pelleting plant at Cootamundra.

The plant is the only one of its kind in Eastern Australia and has been specially designed to pelletise hay and straw into nutritionally balanced pellets.

This will give farmers the option to bale their straw instead of burning it and instead of storing out in the open it can be pelletised and safely stored in silos out of the weather.

Ambos can formulate diets that specifically meet the needs of farmers using some of their own farm inputs reducing the cost of their feeding program. One of the major advantages of the process is the ability to convert lower quality inputs into a high quality, safe product that is easy to handle.

A range of feeds can be made including creep feeds, weaning feeds, maintenance feeds or finishing feeds.  With the pellet being fibre based they are safe, there is no risk to acidosis (grain poisoning).

Ambos trucks can go out to the farm and pick up and then deliver the pellets therefore adding further convenience to the process.

Products like canola hay that can present feeding or wastage issues {combined in correct proportions to improve palatablilty and feed intake} can be pelletised overcoming the wastage issues.

Ambos Stockfeeds is fully accredited under the Australian based Stock Feed Manufacturers Association's FeedSafe' program.  This ensures that the manufacture of Ambos Stockfeeds is completely safe, with rigorous testing and quality control.
